With the hectic pace of daily life, you often get time to clean and remove pollutants from upholstered furniture. But now keeping your upholstery neat and clean becomes easier with this quick DIY guide to getting stains out of upholstery. Since there are various types of upholstery materials available in the market, we have given cleaning tips for all. Let’s begin!

How to Remove Stains From different Upholstery Fibers?

1. Leather upholstery — Olive Oil + Vinegar

Leather upholstery is beautiful and sophisticated. It requires a little more attention to maintain the look for a long time. You can achieve long-lasting appeal with an easy to make homemade cleaner. For this, take a spray bottle and add 1/2 cup of olive oil and ½ cup of vinegar.

Mix the solution well and spray on the stained upholstery surface. Let it rest for a few minutes and then wipe down with a soft cloth. This technique helps you polish the surface to achieve that shiny luster on leather upholstery.

2. Synthetic upholstery — Vinegar + Warm Water + Liquid Dish Soap

From Acetate, Acrylic, Nylon to Olefin, all are the synthetic upholstery fibers. If you have any of these, then pay attention while getting stains out of upholstery. Make the DIY cleaning solution by combining ½ cup of vinegar, 1 cup of warm water, and ½ tsp of liquid in a spray bottle.

Shake the bottle well so that all the ingredients get mixed. Sprinkle the solution on the synthetic upholstery stain areas. Scrub with a soft cloth until you get the clear upholstery surface.
